NC to join govt if 7-pt deal scrapped: Sujata

BIRATNAGAR, Feb. 27: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has said that the NC will not join the present government formed on the basis of secret seven-point agreement.



Talking to reporters at Biratnagar Airport today, she said the NC would think on joining the government only if the seven-point deal was scrapped. [break]



Koirala blamed that it was Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal´s political treachery to sign the seven-point agreement with the UCPN (Maoist).



She stated that leading the government on the rotational basis by the leaders of two parties was against the spirit of democracy.



In a separate context, Koirala said that her claim in the party´s vice president is still intact.
