NC to join govt if 7 - pt deal scrapped

POKHARA, March 27: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Prakash Man Singh has said his party will join the government if the seven-point deal signed by the CPN (UML) and Unified CPN (Maoist) was scrapped.



"The NC could think for joining the government only when the seven-point agreement was scrapped”, said Singh speaking at a press meet organized by Kaski Chapter of Nepal Press Union.[Break]



The deal has ensued conflict within the UML and the government could not get a complete shape till the date, he said.



Singh said constitution writing has been directly affected due to dilly-dallying on constitution writing process.



Constitution should be promulgated after the peace process was conclude as per the spirit of 12-point agreement, Comprehensive Peace Accord and the Interim Constitution, said NC leader Singh.
