At a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union, Kaski Chapter in Pokhara this morning, leader Deuba said that the party would play effective opposition role which is crucial for smooth functioning of the government.

NC would support and protest the government based on its decisions and functioning, he added.
The former prime minister expressed his belief that the constitution amendment bill tabled by NC at the parliament would address the demands of Madhes-based parties in regard to the issues of demarcation of federal boundaries and determination of electoral constituencies raised following the promulgation of a new constitution.
The upcoming general convention of the NC would play crucial role for strengthening party unity and implementation of the new constitution, he noted. He termed the constitution promulgated by more than 90 per cent members of the Constituent Assembly a democratic, inclusive and representative national charter. RSS
