BHAKTAPUR, Dec 15: Nepali Congress leader and then Constituent Assembly (CA) member Rameshwar Dhungel passed away at 3:15 pm on Tuesday. He died in course of treatment at Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

He was admitted to the hospital after he suffered from brain stroke. A permanent resident of Suryabinayak Municipality-5 of Katunje in the district, Dhungel was elected from Bhaktapur Constituency-2 in the Second CA in 2070 BS.
He is survived by three sons. Dhungel had been active in politics since 2040 BS. He was elected as Katunje VDC Chair in 2054 BS.
