KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Mega Bank Nepal Ltd has opened its branch office at Sanfebagar of Accham. Issuing a statement, the bank said that the branch office opened with the support of Sakchyam Access to Finance Programme was inaugurated by Nepal Rastra Bank Deputy Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.

According to the statement, the bank's Sanfebagar branch is the first branch office to be opened by a private commercial bank in Sanfebagar Municipality, only the second private commercial bank branch to be opened in Achham.
“Sakchyam's support with cost-sharing and technical support for bank and microfinance institutions has helped materialize Nepal Rastra Bank's commitment to expand access to financial services in remote areas of Nepal,” the statement quoted NRB Deputy Governor Adhikari as saying.
