LUMBINI, Aug 9: The Rupandehi District Prison stated that the former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been provided with utmost security in the prison.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, the prison administration said Lamichhane, who is currently in the Bhairahawa-based prison facing a cooperative fraud case, has been provided a separate room.

Lamichhane, a suspended House of Representatives member, has been in prison for four months. He has been inquired about his needs and status from time to time, Bhandari added, arguing that the prison's attention was drawn towards media reports.
Bhandari refuted the news that stated Lamichhane was discriminated against in prison.
