CHANDRAUT (KAPILBASTU), May 8: One was killed and nine others injured when a jeep carrying a wedding procession overturned in Kapilvastu last night.
Pappu Pasi, 37, of Debara of Krishnanagar Municipality was killed on the spot when the jeep with Indian registration plate no – UP 55 T 0495 – met with the accident at 9 pm. Pasi was crushed under a musical band's equipment when the jeep overturned.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at Bhairahawa's medical college, said Assistant Sub Inspector, Dipendra Giri, of Area Police Office, Bahadurgunj. RSS
