Out of 30 essays shortlisted under the theme “Mero Sapana”, Durga Karki of Morgan International College, Kathmandu clinched the first prize, Sushma Limbu of Lord Buddha Higher Secondary School, Biratnagar received the second prize and Kishor Acharya from Argakhachi bagged the third prize.
The top three winners received a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 6,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.
Likewise, 50 winners of the online competition were selected by lucky draw.
Part of a multi-country television campaign “The Team”, the series has been produced by Search for Common Ground and Common Ground Productions in 13 other countries. The story for the Nepali version was written by Abinash Shah, Deepak Rauniyar, and Abhimanyu Nirabi and directed by Bhushan Dahal.
Hamro Team tells the story of a girl named Seema, played by Reecha Sharma, who has a deep interest in football and pursues her passion with a missionary zeal and mentors a local football team as its coach.
Produced by AB Pictures Pvt. Ltd, the message that the series tries to deliver is believing in oneself and the team spirit, devoid of I-Me-Mine individualistic and egoist tendencies.
