Gold price down Rs 110 per tola

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Gold price has come down by Rs 110 per tola (11.664 grams) in Nepal after price of the yellow metal fell in the international market. Gold was traded at Rs 61,061 on Tuesday.



Officials of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (Negosida) said they lowered gold price in the domestic market after it was traded at a lower price in international market. [break]



Gold price hovered at US $1,735 per troy ounce on Tuesday, down from Monday´s $1739 per troy ounce.



The yellow metal hit an all time high of Rs 61,177 per tola in the local market on Monday. Gold had been on a bull run over the past few days, leading to drop in gold sales across the country.



Price of silver, however, remained unchanged at Rs 1,200 per tola on Tuesday.
