CPN (Unified Socialist), Jhala Nath Khanal will not attend the event. He said, "The agenda only had the chairman of four parties speaking at the meeting. I am not going just to be a spectator. I fully support the protest against the revivalists, reactionaries, and supporters of status quo."
The president of the NSP, Mahindra Raya Yadav, said that fewer speakers were invited to shorten the event, as having too many speakers would make the program longer.
