KATHMANDU, March 8: Four international airlines are now operating regular flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa. Earlier, seasonal conditions and a lack of passengers had prevented regular flights.
Currently, Nepal Airlines, the national carrier of Nepal, Jazeera Airways from Kuwait, Fly Dubai, the national carrier of Dubai, and Thai AirAsia, based in Thailand, are all operating international flights from the airport.
NAC to operate regular flights from GBIA beginning June 12

Pratap Babu Tiwari, manager of GBIA in Bhairahawa, confirmed that four international airlines are now operating regular flights. He expressed confidence that regular international flights will make the airport more dynamic and attract additional airlines.
Nepal Airlines operates flights from Kuala Lumpur to Bhairahawa and Kathmandu. According to the airport office, Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia resumed flights on February 6. Fly Dubai restarted its flights a month ago, and Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia began operations in Kartik (mid-October to mid-November).
The airport office reported that 115 flights from GBIA carried 6,879 passengers in February.
