KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Former DIG Chhabi Lal Joshi was presented to the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday.
A case was filed against him at the Kathmandu District Court on the charge of misappropriation of Swarnalakmi Cooperative’s funds. The case is scheduled to be heard by the bench of Judge Thakur Prasad Kharel.
Ex-DIG Joshi’s judicial custody extended by seven days
Earlier, a case was filed against Joshi at the Kaski District Court for cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering. Joshi was released after depositing a bail of 8.8 million. Joshi was arrested from Kathmandu on September 22, 2024
A case was also filed against Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), on the charge of misappropriation of Swarnalakshmi Cooperative's funds. He has already been released on bail.
