UDAYPUR, June 17: Udaypur District Football Association on Wednesday banned 10 footballers from all activities related to the game for violating the rules and regulations of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

Nine players were banned for a year while a player got a two-year ban. According to Udaypur District Football Association Acting President Anand Chaudhary, the players used abusive languages during the 16th Mayor Cup Football Tournament that concluded on June 2.

Bishnu Bhujel of Shirpur was banned for two years, while Shir Bahadur Rai, Dambar Bahadur Rai, Bandhan Bahadur Rai, Nagendra Pariyar and Raju Rai of Sirpur got one year ban. Likewise, Kalin Ali, Abinash Rai, Bibek Rai, Bishal Rai of Gaighat were also banned for a year.
