SOLUKHUMBU, April 6: Regional Sports Development Committee, with the coordination of District Sports Development Committee Solukhumbu, is set to organize the Regional Badminton Tournament for the first time in Solukhumbu district from Saturday at the Covered Hall in Salleri.

A total of 144 players from 16 different districts will take part in the tournament which will conclude on Monday. Every district will feature eight players each for men’s singles, women’s singles and men’s and women’s doubles, informed the committee’s President DB Ranapal. He further informed that the preparations for the covered hall have been completed up to 90 percent.
