Inaugurating 8th council meeting of Indigenous Janajati Up-liftment National Foundation on Monday, he said the Unified CPN (Maoist) is the force of peace process and without the party’s involvement and participation this job cannot be completed. [break]
Saying that the latest decision of the Maoist party in favour of peace and constitution is positive, he said parties should hold serious talks in the same line.
Army integration is the main side of peace process, thus efforts are under way to determine its process, criteria, modality and number in package, he said.
On the new constitution, he said consensus will be forged soon on forms of governance, election system and state restructuring and stressed the need of ending the ongoing transition period at the earliest.
At the function, President of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Raj Kumar Lekhi said the politics of leg-pulling has made the country a prisoner of indecision. He said the new constitution should guarantee rights of indigenous, and marginalized people.
