Dahal meets Indian home minister

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal held meeting with Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday in Delhi.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal held meeting with Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday in Delhi. 


During the meeting, Dahal drew Singh’s attention toward the incidents of harassment and looting against Nepali citizens along the Nepal-India border areas. In response, Singh assured of alerting and instructing the Indian security officials to prevent such incidents.

According to Dahal’s secretariat, both the leaders discussed strengthening Nepal-India co-operation for the prosperity of Nepal. Dahal stressed the implementation of past agreements between Nepal and India including investment agreements.


Dahal also delivered a lecture at Sapru House earlier on Friday on Recent Developments in Nepal and Advancing Nepal-India Relations. He said Nepal’s neighbors should understand and respect sensitivities of the small neighbor. He will return home Sunday.
