KATHMANDU, April 7: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has called on the government to immediately pass the School Education Act and address the legitimate demands raised by teachers through dialogue and negotiations. The party expressed solidarity with the teachers' movement and urged the government to fulfill its commitments and implement the education agreements.
"The education sector has been affected due to this movement, with teaching activities halted and the SEE answer sheet evaluation halted. This is a very serious issue for the state. Our party expresses solidarity with this teachers' movement," stated the party's Deputy General Secretary, Ram Kumar Bhattarai, in a press release on Sunday.

Since April 2, teachers and school staff across the country, under the leadership of the Nepal Teachers' Association, have protested in Maitighar, Kathmandu, demanding the implementation of a quality education system and the introduction of a teacher-and-student-friendly Education Act.
