CPN (Maoist Center) to launch people-centric campaign from February 24

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: The CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to launch the ‘Maoist with People’ campaign starting February 24.

CPN (Maoist Center) Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the party's office-bearers meeting, held at Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Khumaltar on Monday, decided to begin the campaign along the Postal Highway, with the starting point at Kachankawal in Jhapa on February 24.

The meeting also decided to organize a gathering of the mayors and deputy mayors of local levels in Kathmandu on February 21. The office-bearers' meeting also reshuffled the leaders' responsibilities and appointed new provincial in-charges. As a result, Hari Bol Gajurel will serve as the in-charge of Koshi Province, Matrika Yadav as the in-charge of Madhesh Province, and Hitman Shakya as the in-charge of Bagmati Province.

The meeting appointed Dina Nath Sharma as the in-charge of Gandaki Province, Chakrapani Khanal as the in-charge of Lumbini Province, Kali Bahadur Malla as the in-charge of Karnali Province, and Giriraj Mani Pokhrel as the in-charge of Sudurpaschim Province, spokesperson Sapkota stated.

The meeting also assigned the role of the Kathmandu Valley in-charge to Jayapuri Gharti, Laxman Panta as the head of the SAARC Division, Ram Karki as the in-charge of the Europe-America Division, and Om Sharma as the in-charge of the Asia Division, Sapkota added.
