Chicken to sell at Rs 200 per kg

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chicken Sellers Association (NCSBA) has reduced the price of chicken in the Kathmandu Valley to Rs 200 per keg effective from Friday.

According to Junga Bahadur BC, president of NCSA, price of chicken has been reduced following drastic deline in sales.[break]



 "Demand for chicken will not improve unless bir-flu is totally brought under control," he added. Price of chicken hovered above Rs 220 per kg three weeks ago. According to NCSA, average daily demand of chicken in the Kathmandu Valley hovers over 250 tons.
