26 DSPs promoted to SP

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The home ministry on recommendation of the police headquarters promoted 26 Deputy Sub Inspectors (DSPs) to Superintendent of Police (SP).



Those promoted today include Ajay Bhattarai, Prakash Adhikari, Uttam Subedi, Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Basanta Lama, among others.



The DSP promotion procedure was halted in the last minute earlier, after the Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) promotion drew controversy. SP promotion is in the final stage, police source said.
