Members of the monitoring committee expressed disappointment after policies set by the District Education Office (DEO) were found to be flaunted rampantly.On the first day of the SLC exams, 11 examinees were expelled, 93 were barred from writing answers on the second day and 58 were sent home on the third day from various exam centers in the district.
According to the DEO, the monitoring team took action against 15 students from Rautali exam center, 23 from Pipara exam center, 11 from Mahottari exam center, and 9 from Bhramarpura exam center of the district on the third day.
A total of 12,317 students from 104 schools of the district had filled up application forms for the exams. However, only 11,172 have turned up at exam centers, out of which 4,742 are participating under exempted category, according to the DEO.
Twenty-eight exam centers have been set-up in the district. A total of 28 superintendents, 53 assistant superintendents and 505 invigilators have been deployed to ensure smooth conduction of SLC exams. Over 10 monitoring teams are set up to oversee the exams in the district.
