KATHMANDU, Nov 29: As many as 12 people were injured in a vehicular accident that took place in front of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) building in Sundhara on Thursday.
The accident took place when a vehicle coming out of the parking lot of NAC rammed 12 pedestrians walking on the pavement, Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa told Republica Online.
Smugglers have a ball in Madhesh Province
The driver is identified as 50-year-old Bheshraj Poudel.
Break-failure is the cause behind the accident, according to police.
The injured are Santoshi Nepali, Philippino national Kesiya, Juli Budhathoki, Gangamaya Rai, Rudraman Pati, Pragyajyoti Pariyar, Bhawana Bohara, Mira Thapa, Josna Thakuri, Satyaraj Thakuri, Srijana Pahari and Urmila Adhikari.
The injured are receiving treatment at National Trauma Center, Kathmandu.
