In the meeting of the House of Representatives, the parliamentary committee unanimously passed the bill related to legislation, but the bill was removed from the agenda after the minister read and explained the proposed amendments.  

Both houses of parliament will ratify the ordinances, which the President issued on the government’s recommendation, today. The House of Representatives and the National Assembly will submit six ordinances to their respective meetings for approval.

The government has introduced a bill to grant naturalized citizenship to the children of women who gave birth abroad. This provision has been made in the bill to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act 2006 that was introduced in the House of Representatives.

"Previously, parliament itself was dissolved. Now, in such a short time, are they trying to govern through ordinances? This is the concern I raised."  

On Monday, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology presented the bill in the House of Representatives, which aims to regulate the operation, use, and monitoring of social media and mandates that social media platforms must obtain government approval to operate. 

The parliamentary committee is debating whether to remove or retain the provision for party-based trade unions in the Federal Civil Service Bill.
