KATHMANDU, March 10: The Women Judges Conference 2025 was held in Lalitpur on Monday, marking the International Day of Women Judges. The event, inaugurated by Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, was attended by 60 participants, including former chief justices, judges, and current women judges from the Supreme, High, and District Courts.
Addressing the conference, CJ Raut emphasized that female judges are the pride of Nepal’s judiciary and judicial system.
He said that honor in the judiciary is not easily achieved, and it is only through unwavering commitment to justice, maintaining impartiality, making reasoned decisions, and upholding transparency that true honor can be earned.
The conference aimed to provide a platform for women judges to share their experiences, discuss professional challenges, and explore solutions for enhancing their competencies. CJ Raut emphasized the importance of women judges in Nepal's judiciary and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting them in upholding the dignity and integrity of the judicial system. He highlighted the significance of impartiality, fairness, and transparency in earning respect and honor within the judiciary.
