MAHOTTARI, Feb 28: One person died and one other critically injured in a road mishap that occurred at Kalapani of Gauribas-6 along the BP Highway on Sunday morning.
Dudhram Shrestha, 17, of Mahadevstan-6, of Sindhuli district died on the spot when a bus (Ba 2 Kha 6398) bound to Aurahi of Mahottari district from Sindhuli met with an accident, said Bardibas Area Police Office.
The bus was carrying the passengers for a wedding ceremony.
Police took bus driver, Khil Kumar Shrestha, under police control for investigation.
Meanwhile, a man at Bishrampur VDC of Parsa lost his life while retaliating against robbers on Saturday night.
Jaya Kishan Raut of Bishrampur-4 was thrashed to death by a group of the robbers when he retaliated against them.
Police sent Raut´s body to Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj for postmortem.
Police search has been intensified to search the looters.
