Traditional Nepali paper

Two people producing handmade Nepali paper in a village in Bajura district earlier this week. There are 18 Lokta-making outfits in the district. Of late, these outfits are facing shortage of Lokta as the locals have stopped collecting the Lokta because on the one hand it has become scarce in the jungle due to over extraction and they don’t get proper price for this raw material on the other.
