KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur has said that the ongoing Tarai protest would be ended soon after the Tarai issues were addressed.
In a flag-hoisting ceremony on the occasion of the 8th establishment day of the party today at the party office, leader Thakur urged the government and the major parties to discuss point-wise the demands put forth by the Madhes-centric parties, which could sort out the problem.
He further added that though they were holding discussions with major ruling parties CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) and the main opposition party Nepali Congress, it is yet to bear fruit.
Chair Thakur said that they were expecting to resolve the Tarai issues very soon and they should be addressed through political ways rather using coercion. RSS
