Taleju Bhawani temple to open all day Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The temple of Goddess Taleju Bhawani at Hanumandhoka of Kathmandu has been opened for public Wednesday.



The temple is opened each year only on the day of Mahanawami for the general public.[break]



The three-story temple was built by the then King Mahendra Malla in the month of Magh in 1620 BS in pagoda style.



A local Rajya Laxmi Shrestha said some 100,000 devotees visit the temple for darshan.



Meanwhile, a total of 54 he-buffaloes and 54 he-goats were scarified last night or the Kal Ratri at Mulchok of Hanumandhoka.



Altogether 225 sacrifices are made until the last day of Dashain, the Kojagrat Purnima.
