KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Republica chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has denounced police attack on journalists at Mitrapark area on Monday when the journalists were covering news of clash between police and students.
Bijay Rai, a photojournalist of Republica, Samyog Manandhar of Nepal Samcharpatra, Niranjan Shrestha of Kantipur, Bikas Dware of Gorkhapatra, Rajendra KC of Rajdhani, Nawaraj Shrestha and Devaki Bista of News24 Television were beaten up by police while covering the clash.[break]
Issuing a statement, the FNJ chapter demanded that those involved in the attack be brought to the book.
