KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Power supply will be disrupted in some areas of Kathmandu Valley starting today.
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in different locations on various days for the installation of underground distribution lines.
In a notice on Monday, the NEA stated that power outages will occur from today until February 11.
The NEA is laying underground power distribution lines in areas under the Kuleshwor, Baneshwor, Jorpati, and Kirtipur distribution centers. Accordingly, power supply in these areas will be disrupted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until February 11.
According to the NEA, power will be disrupted today in the area of the collapsed bridge under the Tangal distribution center. On Tuesday, outages will affect the area around the Kalanki Land Revenue Office under the Kalanki feeder, while on Wednesday, power supply will be disrupted in Balkumari, Imadol, and Lubhu.
Similarly, electricity supply will be suspended from Naikap to Balambu on Thursday, from Balkhu Chowk to Chobhar Gate on Friday, from Baba Chowk to the Cricket Stadium on February 9, from Gaushala Chowk to Old Baneshwor on February 10, and from Ratopul to Gaushala on February 11.
