LALITPUR, August 7: A person died in a gunshot at Kusunti in Lalitpur. Prabin Khatri was killed when police reached his home to arrest him in connection with alleged drug deal.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Metropolitan Crime Division had gone to his house. After seeing police, Khatri had pointed out two pistols to police and following the gunshot from police, he pointed himself on his right temple.
Khatri sustained injury and later was declared dead while he was taken to Patan Hospital for treatment.
Metropolitan Crime Division spokesperson Prakash Jung Karki informed that it is not yet confirmed whether he died of bullets shot by police or himself.
