Netherlands set Thailand 123-run target to win

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: In the second match of the ongoing women's triangular T20I series, the Netherlands has set Thailand a moderate target of 123 runs.

Opting to bat after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, the Netherlands scored 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Captain Babbite de Leede top-scored for the Netherlands with 52 runs. She hit 8 fours in her 50-ball knock. Iris Zwilling added 28 runs.

The Netherlands is looking for a second consecutive win in the series. Thailand, who are playing the first match, will want to start the series with a win.

The Netherlands defeated hosts Nepal in the first match on Thursday by 20 runs to secure two points. Thailand, the Netherlands, and Nepal are ranked 13, 16, and 20 respectively in the women's T20I rankings.

The participating teams in the series will play each other 3 times. The team at the top of the points table will be the winner. Nepal will play Thailand in the second match on Saturday.
