The meeting discussed on various issues of mutual interests including the promotion of bilateral trade, infrastructure development of the border areas, increase in investment and tourism promotion, among others.
Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Durga Prasad Bhattarai attended the meeting leading the Nepali team while Chinese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Fu Ying took part in the meeting on behalf of the respective government.
Fu arrived here on Saturday on a four –day visit to Nepal. The foreign secretary level mechanism was formed with a view to strengthening bilateral relations in 1966. The eighth meeting was held in Beijing.
