Taking part in an interaction programme on BP´s ideologies and Nepali Congress organised by BP Chintan Pratisthan, Solukhumbu on the eve of centenary birth anniversary of the late BP Koirala Saturday, party President Koirala expressed his hope that opposing parties including the CPN-Maoist would finally join the election. "Election is the backbone for democracy", he said, underlining the need of holding the election on the announced date.
Nationality, democracy and development would weaken if the Congress loses its performance, he claimed and stressed that party´s victory in the upcoming election was essential to give an outlet to the nation.
Also speaking at the programme, party central member Shekhar Koirala said nationality would become stronger if democratic constitution was drafted on time.
Another leader Bal Bahadur KC said the election was essential to bring the country´s politics on track.
Organisation´s central chairman Haribol Bhattarai, party central members Dhanraj Gurung and noted journalist Purushottam Dahal talked about BP´s ideologies and principles.
