KATHMANDU, March 2: The government on Wednesday appointed consul generals for Hong Kong, Lhasa and Kolkata.
A meeting of Council of Ministers picked joint secretary Eknarayan Aryal for Kolkata, Govinda Karki for Lhasa and Kamal Bhattarai for Hong Kong, according to Minister for Peace and Reconstruction, Eknath Dhakal.
The meeting also appointed UML leader Madhav Dhungel as chairman of the Youth Commission, and endorsed a work plan on loan assistance for the reconstruction of private houses damaged by the earthquake with amendments.
