CHITWAN, Jan 23: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba said the issue on delineation of federal units will not be resolved overnight.
He added that this issue should be sorted out only after a massive discussion with various sides.
"I will hold the conventions of the entire sister organizations of the party within six months after if I become the president," said Deuba. He further claimed that he is only the possible candidate for the president's post since incumbent President Sushill Koirala had announced his candidacy for only one time."
He claimed that the Constitution Amendment Bill will address many of the Madhesi demands and urged the Madhesi parties not stick to their guns calling for prompt action on delineation of federal units.Meanwhile, Deuba has also inaugurated the signature collection campaign organized by Nepal Press Union to exert pressure on the government to establish a mass communication academy after late NC leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai.
