KATHMANDU, March 17: A total of 586 foreigners have obtained labor permits to work in Nepal during the eight-month period (from mid-July to mid-March) of the current fiscal year.
According to the Department of Labour and Occupational Safety, 55 foreigners acquired such labor permits in Falgun alone. Among the foreigners working in Nepal, a significant number are Chinese, with some from the UK and the US as well.
During the eight months of this year, 1,081 foreigners’ labor permits have been renewed. In Falgun alone, 113 foreign labor permits were renewed.
