Ilam, Nov 20: In the ongoing elections to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly, 45 percent of votes have been cast in Ilam. According to the district election office, this number of votes were cast as of 3:30PM.
Krishna Bahadur Limbu, information officer for the office, said that voting was going on peacefully at all polling stations in the district. However, fewer voters have turned out at the polling centers in these elections compared to those in the past.
There are 2 constituencies of the House of Representatives and 4 constituencies of the Provincial Assembly in Ilam, which has 24,877 voters. There are 150 polling stations and 285 polling centers.
