KATHMANDU, April 15:  District Administration Office, Kathmandu has introduced strict provision for distribution passes, saying that there has been a high demand for it creating a  risk of violating lockdown order imposed to stem the spread of novel coronavirus disease in the country.

KATHMANDU, April 15: Leaders of political parties represented in parliament have suggested to the government to take samples from each and every family for COVID-19 tests in order to contain the virus spread.

KATHMANDU, April 15: Two COVID-19 suspects, who tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, had arrived in Nepal via a Qatar Airways flight on March 18, according to Nepal Police. On Monday, three members of the same family – residing at Sun City Apartments at Pepsicola in Kathmandu – were taken to Patan Hospital after testing positive for the new coronavirus through the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) method.

Lockdown extended until April 27

KATHMANDU, March 15: The government has extended the COVID-19 lockdown until April 27 continuing the suspension of all government services other than essential ones and both domestic and international flights and restricting people's movement including the overland movement through porous Nepal-India border.
