KATHMANDU, March 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a meeting of his party's parliamentary party within hours of Supreme Court verdict to revive the erstwhile CPN (UML) and CPN Maoist (Centre).

KATHMANDU, March 7: The Supreme Court has invalidated the unification between the erstwhile CPN-UML led by KP Oli and CPN (Maoist Center) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal that took place some three years ago.

KATHMANDU, March 7: In what appears to be a severe blow to both factions of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), the Supreme Court (SC) has scrapped the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) registered in the name of KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, giving the party to little-known Rishi Kattel who had registered Nepal Communist Party at the Election Commission much before the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) was registered in the names of Oli and Dahal in May 2018.

KATHMANDU, March 7: The federal Parliament Secretariat has registered a notice tabled by the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party that Pushpa Kamal Dahal was recently elected the parliamentary party leader ousting KP Sharma Oli from the post.

KATHMANDU, March 7: Amid various speculations and curiosity about the seating arrangements of the two rival factions of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in the first meeting of the seventh session of the House of Representatives on Sunday afternoon amid the intense intraparty row, the Parliament Secretariat said that lawmakers of both the factions – one led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the other led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal --  will be seated on the seating rows designated for the ruling side.

KATHMANDU, March 7: Amid allegations of the Oli-led faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had been dancing to the tune of the NCP rival faction, Speaker Sapkota has held a meeting with the rival faction leaders Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal at his office in  Singh Durbar Sunday morning.
