KATHMANDU, August 29: A meeting among Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal was held today at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, August 29: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has decided to give full shape to his Cabinet as soon as possible. Though Prime Minister Deuba earlier announced to allot six ministerial berths and “two more ministries if necessary” to the newly-formed CPN (Unified Socialist) party led by former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal, the latter’s party has found it quite difficult to choose leaders from his party for ministerial berths in the Deuba-led government as there are too many aspirants.

KATHMANDU, August 28: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that he had made every possible effort he could to keep the party’s unity intact. Speaking at a program in the capital on Saturday, Oli said that he had called Madhav Kumar Nepal over 20 times to maintain the unity in the party.

MORANG, August 28: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has expressed confidence that MCC would be endorsed after holding discussions with political parties, adding that MCC as a development project is necessary for the country.
