These are the times in Nepal when the debate is not whether local level election will take place on May 14, as planned, but whether Madheshi forces will allow it. Election atmosphere is building across the country. People have started to discuss leaders and parties they will vote for, even predict who will win most seats in the polls that are taking place after two decades.

Curiously, a right-wing wave that is sweeping the world is also producing many right-wing women leaders. Be it Theresa May, the leader of the Conservative Party and current Prime minister of Great Britain, or Marine Le Pen of France who is now contesting the presidential election in France.
The word feminization might sound bold in our patriarchal set up. But feminization is only a process whereby women have control over certain activities. Feminization of agriculture denotes the process of increased or dominant role of women in agricultural activities. When it comes to Nepal, however, there are more negatives than positive sides to feminization of agriculture.
