KATHMANDU, June 15: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has deferred Air Arabia’s request to operate a special charter flight from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nepal citing overpricing of tickets.

KATHMANDU, June 15: Evacuation charter flights scheduled to be operated on Monday by Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and Himalaya Airlines have been postponed following the diplomatic missions’ incompetency to collect PCR test reports. The diplomatic missions of Nepal situated abroad are responsible for coordinating the special charter flights.

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Karnali government has announced to run a program titled ‘One Local Unit, One Grain Storage’ to address the perennial problem of food shortage in the region. Unveiling the province’s budget for fiscal year 2020/21 on Monday, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Karnali Province, Prakash Jwala, said the provincial government has earmarked Rs 550 million to purchase food and manage the costs for supply and storage.

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in gang raping a woman in a quarantine facility in Kailali district on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, JUNE 15: After being sent back home from the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) about a month ago, 26-year-old Ramraja Thapa has been readmitted to the hospital. Although Ramraja's family had to quarrel enough with the hospital authorities to get him admitted, the anxiety of managing money for his treatment grips them tight.
