WASHINGTON, Sept 9: The United States military on Wednesday announced that it would be reducing its presence in Iraq from 5,200 to 3,000 troops this month, formalizing a move that had been long expected.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has directed Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) to immediately expedite the purchase plan of aircraft for domestic flights to provide services to the people living in mountain and remote areas. Minister Bhattarai made the directives to the state-owned airlines at a joint meeting with executive chairman and departmental heads of the NAC on Wednesday.
