China, India agree not to send more troops to Ladakh border

BEIJING/NEW DELHI, Sept 23: China and India have agreed to stop sending more troops to a Himalayan flashpoint along their contested border and to avoid any actions that might complicate the tense situation there, the two countries said on Tuesday. Senior military officials from the both countries met on Monday and exchanged ideas on their contested border, Chinese defence ministry spokesman Wu Qian said.

According to the local representatives, absence of clinics in the rural villages has hit vaccination campaigns. Similarly, health workers and volunteers escape their job as they need to walk for days to reach out to different destinations. One such village is Baluwagada of Chure Rural Municipality - 4.

Dr Govinda KC was brought to Kathmandu on Tuesday, and he was forcibly taken to the National Turma Center. Dr KC, a senior orthopedic surgeon, who has been staging a hunger strike for the 19th time demanding reforms in the medical sector, was brought to Kathmandu through a flight at 11:45 AM. Although he wanted to go to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, the police had forcibly taken him to the National Trauma Center as soon as he landed in Kathmandu. He managed to leave the Trauma Center with the help of his aides later in the evening and was admitted to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.
