Heavy downpour inundates Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ, June 24: Torrential rainfall on Sunday inundated various parts of Nepalgunj Metropolitan City. The heavy downpour resulted in waterlogged streets at Gharbaritole, Dhambojhi, Surkhetroad, Belaspur, New Road, Ganeshpur, Bankegaun, Koreanpur, Bhrikutinagar, Sadarline among other places as the accumulated water could not get an outlet to flow.

DHANGADHI, June 24: Life has yet to return to normalcy in the windstorm affected areas of Kailali district even after over two weeks since the disaster. Many of storm victims whose homes were damaged by the storm are living in makeshift shelters while some others are living in their damaged houses. Kin stage protest demanding fair probe into Bimala death

KATHMANDU, June 24: Kin of Bimala Tamang who was found hanging inside one of the rooms of Samata Hospital in the capital last Tuesday staged a demonstration outside the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala on Sunday demanding fair probe into the case. The post-mortem report has stated suicide as the cause of death while the relatives of the deceased claim that she was murdered.
