All major parties should be defeated in elections: RPP

KATHMANDU, May 1: Leaders of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have said that all major parties including Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and CPN (Unified Socialist) and CPN (Maoist Center) should be defeated in the upcoming election.

KATHMANDU, May 1: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the key responsibility of Nepal's laborers and proletariat class is to prepare the basis for socialism by safeguarding the constitution and democracy, ensuring victory of the candidates of the left-democratic alliance in this local level election.

Security beefed up in Nepal-India border area

NEPALGUNJ, May 1: Keeping in view of security sensitivity during the upcoming local level election, local administrations have beefed up security in no-man's land of the Nepal-India border in Banke district. The security at the border points has been beefed up considering that illegal arms could be brought in Nepal from no-man's land to affect the polls scheduled for May 13.
