Climate change has adversely impacted lives, livelihoods, and the economy worldwide, and Nepal is no exception. The impact of climatic risks on agricultural production, households, and physical assets can be quantified based on market prices. However, the disaster's impact is not limited to the economic sector; it equally affects biological and social life, causing damage to the ground, terrain, cultural heritage, local knowledge, and impacting human life, health, and transportation.

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has initiated the search for new loans with subsidized interest rates to acquire new aircraft and settle the debt of the currently operational fleet. In a public announcement, the national flag carrier requested a loan amount of Rs 135 billion from both domestic and foreign institutions.

KMC’s laudable decision to ban roadside parking

Foreign Minister NP Saud has requested Russia to repatriate Nepali citizens, who have joined the Russian army after the war broke out with Ukraine on February 24, 2022. During his meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin on the sideline of the NAM summit in Uganda's capital, Kampala, on Friday, FM Saud said that Nepal does not have a policy of sending citizens to foreign armies except under the traditional arrangement with some countries.

Nepal Police currently operates under a 68-year-old law. Despite the promise of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha to introduce a new law governing the country's police administration ten months ago, progress has stagnated, limiting it to mere 'discussion' and 'commitment.'
