KATHMANDU, Oct 22: The Bir Ganeshman Singh National Tennis Championship is scheduled to be held from October 26 under the joint project of Ganeshman Singh Foundation and Bir Ganeshman Singh Sports Committee. According to the organizers, the competition will be held at the tennis court at Satdobato, Lalitpur, in memory of the late leader Ganesh Man Singh.

There will be competitions in 23 different categories including men and women in the senior category and junior boys and girls in the junior category. The competition will feature both men and women’s singles and doubles in the senior category. Similarly, there will also be men's singles and doubles in the over 35, 45 and 55 age groups.  Likewise, boys and girls under 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14 age groups will compete in 10 categories.

The winners of the men's and women's events will receive Rs 80,000 in cash, the runners-up Rs 40,000 and the third place winners Rs 20,000 each. Similarly, the winners of the men's and women's doubles will get Rs 40,000, the runners-up Rs 20,000 and the third place winner Rs 10,000 each.
