Party registration for local level by-elections opens today

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The Election Commission (EC) has announced the opening of party registration for the upcoming local level by-elections scheduled for December 1, 2024.

According to Article 217 of the Constitution of Nepal and Section 4 of the Political Parties Act, 2073, the Commission has asked the political parties registered with the Commission to submit an application for party registration to the Election Commission office in accordance with Schedule 12 of the Political Party Regulations, 2074 within office hours from 26th September (today) to 2nd October.
